Introducing Clarity + Grace, a new way forward in end of life planning.

Transforming the end of life experience with a modern, holistic approach that is built on curation and planning, transparency and adaptability.

I started Clarity + Grace on two central truths.

The first is that you are more than your prognosis.

The second is that the end of life experience can be as rich and full as the life that came before it.

I’ve seen so many end of life experiences, all of them different, and each of them individual to the person undertaking them. I began to see the gaps between the medical, legal, palliative/hospice and funeral areas at end of life and how those gaps left people lost and overwhelmed at a time when they needed clarity and the grace of knowing they had a solid plan.

I use a modern and holistic approach to end of life planning. Having a will, power of attorney, advance directive, and funeral plans are only a small part of the planning and decisions that have to be made. Much like a whole life is lived in the dash between date of birth and date of death, the work that I do is in the gaps between the medical, legal, and funeral planning and is focused on you, the person at the centre of all of this.

Generations ago we knew how to do this.

Over the years we’ve lost the intrinsic knowledge of how to organize and plan for the end of life. Everyone wants a ‘good death’ but when asked, most don’t know what that means.

At Clarity + Grace, I’ll work with you as you discover what a good death means to you and help you plan for and achieve it. You are more than your diagnosis and the end of your life should reflect how you lived.

A modern approach.

Historically the end of life experience was much simpler. Care was usually done by the family at home, with the doctor making house calls. After death, wrapping up affairs was mostly distributing possessions and closing down a bank account.

Today the decisions are more complex. Hospital, home, or hospice? How much or how little medical intervention? What is minimum viable quality of life? What is a care plan? What does an end of life environment look like? Who is there and for how long? Who is going to close out a digital life?

Using a holistic approach that incorporates mindfulness and meditation techniques, I’ll help you find clarity in all the decisions that have to be made and the grace of knowing a plan is in place to lessen the burden of choices on your loved ones.

Curation, not chaos.

With everything available at our fingertips, we are able to curate our lives to be a reflection of who we are and what we want. Why should the end of life be any different? I’ll work with you to make sure that you have a care and death plan in place, so that those around you know exactly what you want.

Too many times chaos reigns when there is an assumption that those around you “know what I want”. Without a clear plan, the burden of making decisions can cause doubt, make relationships strained, and even cause grief induced doubt over having done the right thing. I believe in curation over chaos and a plan over panic.
