Hi, I’m Danielle.

I was led to this line of work after being the primary caregiver to my mother during her journey with cancer. Over the decade between diagnosis and death, I learned so much about end of life process and about myself as a support that friends and family sought me out as a resource when a terminal diagnosis or end of life conversation needed to be discussed.

I’ve seen so many end of life experiences, all of them different, and each of them individual to the person undertaking them. I began to see the gaps between the medical, legal, and funeral areas of end of life planning and how those gaps left people lost and feeling overwhelmed at a time when they needed clarity and the grace of knowing they had a solid plan.

It wasn’t until a friend had a death doula support her family that I recognized that this work is what I’d already been doing for people in my life.

I’ve studied with Douglas College, York University, and Going With Grace to get practical and holistic training to add to my boots-on-the-ground experience in end of life. I’m also trained in meditation and mindfulness techniques to help my clients gain the clarity they need to navigate this journey.

I believe that “a good death” is different for everyone and I will help you find what that is for you.
